Work Experience

Print Production
For my week of work experience, I worked with an industry scale print production company which designs, creates and prints anything from posters to leaflets to books. I learned about the whole print process from start to finish - including working with software such as Adobe InDesign, Quark XPress and other professional print software.

Creative Media Studio
I have gained a huge amount of experience, and learned a great deal about video production through working with a professional creative media studio.

I have worked closely with many clients on various projects involving areas from web development to graphic design to 3D.

Total Web Design - Website of the ‘Web Designer’ magazine
This was one of the first community forums that I became a part of, I joined around August of 2004 and soon became one of the most active members. It was then that I became one of the Forum moderators, helping people out with their problems and making sure everything was running as it should. I had just over a year and a half of experience with a total of over 1100 posts, and I learned a great deal about moderation within that period. I had the chance to chat with other experts in the web development field, helping others, and learning myself.

Unfortunately Highbury went bust, and with no access to the FTP or database, the website was no more and everything was lost. The only proof I have now is from issue 114, as you can see above. The old folks from the community have migrated twice to different forums - they can now be found over at Designers Block. Give them a visit if you like, they’re all a friendly bunch and are more than happy to help out if you have any web development problems.
